Due to the current stresses we face on a daily basis, it's no wonder we have become pre-occupied with the outside world and have disconnected from our own internal selves. It can become a problem, when we choose to run away from our own negative feelings and drown them out with eating, drinking and sometimes overworking. Although it can seem difficult at first, we can learn to reconnect with ourselves where we have so much internal wisdom. It is in this space, that we can set our intention and show up who we want to be in the world. 

So practice being present with yourself. Throughout your day, pause the thinking and focus on the sensations you are feeling whether they are positive, negative and/or-neutral. Do you feel a warmth in your heart, tightness in your belly, sharpness in your neck or back? Get familiar with what anxiety, anger, frustration, and joy feel like in your body. Be curious with yourself and less judgmental. Breath into your body and as you exhale perhaps releasing some of the negative sensations should you choose. It is through this practice that you can gain power and choice. I promise you that no matter what you are facing, you have so much power within you.
